Description of the Battle between Śiva and Śaṅkhacūḍa
tataḥ kṣaṇena saṃprāpya saṃjñāmāruhya sadratham | dhṛtadivyāyudhaśaro babhau vyāpyākhilaṃ nabhaḥ

It portrays the return of inner clarity (saṃjñā) followed by decisive, dharma-aligned action—symbolizing how grace and resolve restore the seeker, and how divine power can pervade and protect all directions when aligned with Shiva.
The verse emphasizes Saguna Shiva’s manifest, protective splendor—Shiva as the accessible Lord who intervenes in the world. Linga-worship similarly approaches Shiva as immanent presence: the formless reality made approachable through a sacred form for devotion and surrender.
A practical takeaway is to regain steadiness through japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) before action; then proceed with disciplined focus. Offering bhasma (Tripuṇḍra) and maintaining a protective Shiva-bhāva (remembrance) aligns the mind with Shiva’s safeguarding power.
