कैलासमार्गे शङ्करस्य परीक्षा — Śiva Tests the Approachers on the Kailāsa Path

अथो पुरंदरोऽपृच्छत्स्वाधिकारेण दुर्मदः । पुरुषं तं स्वमार्गांतस्थितमज्ञाय शंकरम्

atho puraṃdaro'pṛcchatsvādhikāreṇa durmadaḥ | puruṣaṃ taṃ svamārgāṃtasthitamajñāya śaṃkaram

അപ്പോൾ പുരന്ദരൻ (ഇന്ദ്രൻ) തന്റെ അധികാരമദത്തിൽ ദുർമദനായി, തന്റെ പാതയുടെ അറ്റത്ത് നിന്നിരുന്ന ആ പുരുഷനോട് ചോദിച്ചു—അവൻ ശങ്കരനാണെന്ന് അറിയാതെ.
