FAQs

It is a maṅgala/colophon marking completion: the recitation is sealed with auspiciousness (śrīḥ), reminding devotees that hearing the Purana is itself a sacred act that supports bhakti and spiritual upliftment under Shiva’s grace.

Though it contains no direct instruction, it frames the Satī narrative as part of Rudra-saṃhitā’s Saguna presentation of Shiva—devotees are encouraged to continue worship through listening, remembrance, and concluding readings with auspicious invocations.

Conclude the reading with a maṅgala (śrīḥ/śānti), offer a brief namaskāra to Shiva, and optionally recite the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” to dedicate the merit of the hearing.
