Grades of Devotees and the Praise of Knowledge-Centered Devotion
śiraḥ karādisvāṃgeṣu kurute na yathā pumān | pārakyaśemuṣīṃ kvāpi bhūteṣvevaṃ hi matparaḥ
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Role: liberating
It teaches that true devotion to Shiva matures into unity-vision: the devotee drops the ‘otherness’ (bheda-buddhi) toward all beings, as naturally as one never treats one’s own limbs as чужие.
Linga/Saguna worship trains the mind to rest in Shiva as the inner Self of all; as devotion deepens, the worshipper recognizes the same Shiva-presence pervading every being, dissolving the sense of separation.
Practice japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with contemplation that Shiva dwells in all beings; let daily conduct reflect this by non-harming and reverence toward life.
