Lord Shiva (Śambhu)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: liberating
It highlights Śiva as the supreme guide (Pati) who, after hearing Viṣṇu, reveals His own “gati”—the divine course that leads the cosmos and souls toward auspicious order and ultimately liberation.
Śambhu “making known His own way” reflects Saguna Śiva’s compassionate self-disclosure: devotees approach the knowable Lord—often through Liṅga-worship—as He graciously communicates the means and direction of spiritual progress.
A practical takeaway is śravaṇa and manana—listening to Śiva’s teachings and reflecting on His “gati”—supported by daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) to align one’s path with Śiva’s guidance.
