Completion of the Nandā-vrata and Śiva’s Direct Appearance
āgatopi mahādevaḥ prasannassa jagāma ha | punareva kathaṃ sopi sutārthe'trāgamiṣyati
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
It highlights that Śiva’s grace (prasāda) is free and sovereign: even when pleased, He may withdraw, teaching devotees humility, perseverance, and reliance on inner devotion rather than demanding immediate results.
When the visible presence of Saguna Śiva ‘departs’ from the narrative, the devotee is directed back to steady Linga-worship—continuous remembrance, mantra, and pūjā—through which Śiva is approached again by unwavering bhakti.
Sustained practice rather than anxiety: daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), along with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa if one follows those vows, offered with patience while seeking Śiva’s blessing.
