नन्दाव्रत-समाप्तिः तथा शङ्करस्य प्रत्यक्ष-दर्शनम्
Completion of the Nandā-vrata and Śiva’s Direct Appearance
दाक्षायण्यपि तं नत्वा शंभुं विज्ञाप्य भक्तितः । प्राप्ताज्ञा मातुरभ्याशमगान्मोहमुदान्विता
dākṣāyaṇyapi taṃ natvā śaṃbhuṃ vijñāpya bhaktitaḥ | prāptājñā māturabhyāśamagānmohamudānvitā
ദാക്ഷായണിയും (സതി) ശംഭുവിനെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു ഭക്തിയോടെ അപേക്ഷിച്ചു; അവന്റെ അനുമതി ലഭിച്ചതോടെ, മോഹത്തിൽ ആകുലയായി, അവൾ മാതാവിന്റെ സന്നിധിയിലേക്ക് പോയി।

It shows Satī’s bhakti and proper conduct—she bows to Śiva and seeks His assent—yet it also foreshadows how मोह (delusion) can still arise when the mind is pulled toward family ties and social ritual, a key Shaiva lesson on vigilance and discernment.
Satī approaches Śambhu personally (Saguna devotion) with reverence and submission; the narrative emphasizes that all actions should begin by taking refuge in Śiva—whether worshipping the Liṅga or contemplating Śiva’s gracious form—before engaging the outer world.
Begin undertakings with Śiva-smaraṇa: offer a brief bow/prayer, mentally repeat the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), and act only after inner clarity—so मोह does not drive decisions.
