FAQs

It highlights Satī’s disciplined bhakti: by worshipping Hara on an auspicious tithi with pure offerings and firm vows, the mind is steadied and made fit for Shiva’s grace—central to Shaiva Siddhanta where devotion and right observance support liberation.

The verse presents Saguna worship of Hara through concrete upacāras (offerings like sesame and cooked grains). Such ritual devotion is the accessible doorway through which the devotee approaches Shiva’s transcendent reality.

Observing a vrata on Kṛṣṇāṣṭamī (especially in Mārgaśīrṣa), performing Shiva-pūjā with sesame-based offerings, and maintaining strict self-restraint (niyama) as a sustained devotional discipline.
