anirdeśyo nirvikārī paramātmā'dvayo'cyutaḥ | anaṃtoṃtakaraḥ svāmī vyāpakaḥ parameśvaraḥ
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Īśāna
Significance: Meditation on Śiva as anirdeśya and vyāpaka supports Siddhānta’s movement from pāśa-bound limitation to recognition of Pati as omnipresent inner ruler, preparing the soul for anugraha.
Mantra: अनिर्देश्यो निर्विकारी परमात्माऽद्वयोऽच्युतः । अनंतोंतकरः स्वामी व्यापकः परमेश्वरः
Type: stotra
It establishes Śiva as Parameśvara—beyond speech and change, non-dual, infinite, and the cosmic dissolver—pointing the seeker toward liberation through recognizing the Supreme Lord as both transcendent and all-pervading.
Though Śiva is described as nirguṇa-like (indescribable, immutable), the Linga functions as the accessible saguna symbol through which devotees worship the same all-pervading Parameśvara and realize His non-dual supremacy.
Meditate on Śiva as “vyāpakaḥ parameśvaraḥ” while repeating the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya); in ritual, support this with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and rudrākṣa as Shaiva marks of surrender to the Supreme Lord.
