Nārada and Himālaya: Discourse on Pārvatī’s Signs and Destiny
nānyasmai tvamimāṃ dātumihārhasi nagottama | idaṃ copāṃśu devānāṃ na prakāśyaṃ kadācana
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
The verse highlights that Shiva’s highest instructions are not casual information but sacred upadeśa, to be received by a worthy recipient with purity, devotion, and restraint—so that divine grace (anugraha) can mature into liberation-oriented understanding.
Linga and Saguna Shiva worship often includes mantra, nyāsa, and disciplined observances that are traditionally transmitted with boundaries. This verse frames such Shaiva practices as ‘deva-guhya’ (divine secrets), to be protected from misuse and preserved in a proper lineage of devotion.
It implies disciplined mantra-japa and confidential instruction (upāṃśu transmission) under guidance—especially Shaiva mantra practice such as the Panchakshara, undertaken with discretion, purity, and steadiness rather than public display.
