Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating the Purāṇic account to the sages)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: liberating
It frames Pārvatī’s birth as śubha (auspicious) and deva-kārya-kara (fulfilling a divine mission), indicating that divine grace operates through sacred events to restore dharma and lead beings toward Śiva’s saving presence.
By presenting Pārvatī’s advent as part of the gods’ purpose, the verse supports the Purāṇic theme that Saguna Śiva’s līlā unfolds through divine relationships—Pārvatī’s role culminates in devotion, tapas, and the establishment of Śiva-centered worship (including Liṅga-bhakti) for the welfare of the worlds.
The verse implies śubha-kārya (auspicious sacred intention): devotees may commemorate such divine events with Śiva-Pārvatī pūjā, japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), and sattvic vows aligned with dharma.
