na rajakyā na bandhakyā tathā śravaṇayā na ca | na ca durbhagayā kvāpi sakhitvaṃ kārayetkvacit

എപ്പോഴും അശുദ്ധാചാരമുള്ളവളോടോ വഞ്ചകിയോടോ, അല്ലെങ്കിൽ കേൾവിവർത്തകളാൽ മാത്രം അറിയപ്പെടുന്നവളോടോ സൗഹൃദബന്ധം സ്ഥാപിക്കരുത്; ദുർഭാഗ്യവതിയോടോ അമംഗളസ്വഭാവിനിയോടോ എവിടെയും അടുപ്പം വളർത്തുകയും അരുത്।
