मेनावरलाभवर्णनम् — Description of Menā’s Attainment of Boons
and the worship leading to Umā’s advent
असूत सा नागवधूपभोग्यं सुतमुत्तमम् । समुद्रबद्धसत्सख्यं मैनाकाभिधमद्भुतम्
asūta sā nāgavadhūpabhogyaṃ sutamuttamam | samudrabaddhasatsakhyaṃ mainākābhidhamadbhutam
അവൾ ഒരു ഉത്തമവും അത്ഭുതകരവുമായ പുത്രനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു—മൈനാകൻ എന്ന പേരിൽ, നാഗകന്യയ്ക്ക് ഭർത്താവാകാൻ യോഗ്യൻ. സമുദ്രത്തോടു ദൃഢസഖ്യതയുള്ളവനും സമുദ്രബന്ധിതനെന്നു പ്രസിദ്ധനും ആയിരുന്നു.
