Sthala Purana: Not a Jyotirliṅga account; it depicts dharma-ordered preparation for Śivā (Pārvatī), aligning śruti-vidhi (Vedic rule) with loka-ācāra (social custom) before adorning her with Śiva-given ornaments.

It teaches that sacred life-events should be aligned with śruti (Vedic authority) and proper dharma; when outer conduct is truthful and fitting, Śiva’s grace sanctifies the union of Śiva and Śakti, guiding devotees toward auspiciousness and steadiness on the path to liberation.
By highlighting “Śiva-given ornaments,” the verse emphasizes Saguna Śiva as the personal Lord who bestows blessings and consecrates rites; similarly, Linga-worship is performed with śāstric procedure and purity, treating the Lord’s presence as living and beneficent.
Follow śāstra-guided worship with correct āchāra—cleanliness, truthful intention, and proper offerings; in a Shaiva frame this pairs well with simple daily Linga-pūjā, reverent adornment (alaṅkāra), and steady japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya.”
