Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Sthala Purana: Preparatory hospitality and summons: Himālaya organizes resources and sends invitations/dispatches (mountains as allies; brāhmaṇas as ritual authorities) to properly receive and address Īśvara.
Significance: Models dhārmic reception of the Lord: readiness (sambhāra) and calling brāhmaṇas signifies that bhakti is expressed through orderly ritual culture and satkāra (honoring the divine).
Offering: pushpa
It highlights that approaching Īśvara (Lord Shiva) is preceded by orderly preparation and dharmic support—outer arrangements (resources, sacred spaces, worthy brāhmaṇas) reflecting inner readiness, humility, and devotion toward Pati, the liberator of bound souls.
The verse frames the devotee’s approach to Saguna Īśvara—meeting and addressing Shiva through proper ceremonial readiness, which in Purāṇic Shaiva practice typically includes sanctifying the place and honoring brāhmaṇas as part of Linga-centric worship and hospitality.
The implied takeaway is pūrvopakaraṇa-sampatti—prepare the worship setting and honor brāhmaṇas; in Shaiva practice this commonly accompanies Linga-pūjā with bhasma/tripuṇḍra, rudrākṣa, and japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya).
