Sthala Purana: Colophon verse marking the chapter conclusion (‘yātrāvarṇana’). No single shrine is specified here.
Significance: Signals the text’s framing as tīrtha/yātrā instruction; in Purāṇic reception, chapter-end colophons authenticate the māhātmya for recitation and merit.
This is a colophon marking the completion of a chapter; it emphasizes the Purāṇic method of preserving sacred teaching by clearly locating the teaching within Śiva’s revelation—here, the chapter on tīrtha-yātrā as a supportive means for purification and devotion toward Pati (Śiva).
By concluding a chapter titled “Description of Pilgrimage,” it implicitly points to the Shaiva practice of visiting Śiva-kṣetras and Liṅga shrines where Saguna worship (arcana, darśana, japa) is performed to steady bhakti and receive Śiva’s grace.
The verse itself is a closing formula, but the chapter title indicates tīrtha-yātrā combined with Shaiva observances—Liṅga-darśana, mantra-japa (especially pañcākṣarī), and disciplined worship as the practical takeaway.
