शिवोवाच । त्वं तु सर्वज्ञ जगतामुपकारकर प्रभो । रुद्रस्याराधनार्थाय मंत्रं देहि मुने हि मे

ശിവൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു—ഹേ പ്രഭോ, നിങ്ങൾ സർവ്വജ്ഞനും ലോകങ്ങളുടെ ഉപകാരകനുമാണ്. അതിനാൽ ഹേ മുനേ, രുദ്രാരാധനയ്ക്കായി എനിക്ക് മന്ത്രം ദയചെയ്യുക.
