A supplicant group (addressing a revered sage/brāhmaṇa within the Parvati Khanda narrative, as narrated by Suta Goswami)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: liberating
It highlights the Shaiva principle of anugraha (grace): even when karmic results have manifested, liberation and higher states are ultimately secured through compassionate blessing rather than blame or guilt.
In Shaiva Siddhanta, Saguna Shiva (often worshipped as the Linga) is the giver of anugraha; the devotee’s appeal for grace mirrors the devotional stance of surrender before Shiva’s merciful power to elevate the soul’s destiny.
A practical takeaway is prayerful surrender seeking anugraha—supported by japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and respectful service to the guru/saintly, as grace is invoked through devotion and humility.
