देवदैत्यसामान्ययुद्धवर्णनम् — Description of the General Battle Between Devas and Daityas
एवमन्योन्यमसुरो विष्णुश्च बलवानुभौ । युयुधाते रणे भूरि तत्राक्षतबलौ मुने
evamanyonyamasuro viṣṇuśca balavānubhau | yuyudhāte raṇe bhūri tatrākṣatabalau mune
ഇങ്ങനെ അസുരനും വിഷ്ണുവും—ഇരുവരും ബലവാന്മാർ—ആ മഹാരണമിൽ വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും പരസ്പരം യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തു. ഹേ മുനേ, അവിടെ അവരുടെ ബലം അക്ഷതമായി നിലനിന്നു; ദീർഘകാലം ഭീകരസമരം നടന്നു.
