Sthala Purana: Not a Jyotirliṅga episode; the verse states a cosmic shift where dhārmic beings experience auspiciousness while adhārmic forces meet obstruction—typical of Purāṇic omens surrounding a divine advent.

Cosmic Event: Auspicious portents across the triloka indicating a divine turning-point; dharma is supported and adharma is checked.

FAQs

It teaches that true maṅgala (auspicious grace aligned with Shiva’s order) naturally nourishes the sādhus and dharma, while it checks adharma—so the same divine movement is joy for the pure and a barrier for the corrupt.

In Linga/Saguna Shiva worship, devotees seek Shiva’s maṅgala-śakti for inner purification and protection; this verse reflects that Shiva’s auspicious presence stabilizes the worlds and restrains forces opposed to dharma, like the Daityas.

A practical takeaway is to cultivate sāttvika conduct and invoke Shiva’s auspiciousness through daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), supported by Tripuṇḍra-bhasma and Rudrākṣa as reminders of dharma and restraint.
