पुनर्वीरवरश्शक्तिसुतस्स्मृतशिवो बली । गृहीत्वा यष्टिमतुलां तया विष्णुं जघान ह

വീണ്ടും ആ വീരശ്രേഷ്ഠൻ—ശക്തിസുതൻ, ‘സ്മൃതശിവൻ’ എന്നു സ്മരിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന ബലവാൻ—അനുപമമായ ദണ്ഡം പിടിച്ച് അതുകൊണ്ട് വിഷ്ണുവിനെ പ്രഹരിച്ചു।
