It highlights that closeness to Mahēśa naturally manifests as ānanda (spiritual joy) and harmony; the gaṇas model a Shaiva ideal where devotion matures into loving unity and celebratory remembrance of Śiva.
The verse reflects Saguna Śiva-bhakti—devotees gathering in affection to honor the Lord through utsava, a common Shaiva mode of worship that often centers on the Liṅga with pūjā, abhiṣeka, and communal praise.
It suggests saṅgati (holy gathering) and utsava-bhāva: assemble with devotees, chant Śiva-nāma or the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), and perform simple pūjā/abhiṣeka with a joyful, reverent mind.
