FAQs

It teaches niṣṭhā (steadfast devotion): even when grief arises, the devotee does not abandon dharma and Shiva-bhakti. In Shaiva Siddhanta, such disciplined worship purifies the pasu (bound soul) and turns suffering into a means for inner steadiness and grace.

The Pārthiva (earthen) liṅga is a saguna support for devotion—an accessible form through which the devotee offers faith, purity, and regularity. The verse highlights that continuity in liṅga-pūjā sustains the mind and keeps one aligned with Shiva even amid household turmoil.

Daily Pārthiva-liṅga pūjā as a vrata: make a small clay liṅga, offer water and simple upacāras, and keep the mind steady with japa such as the Pañcākṣarī mantra (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), maintaining consistency rather than reacting to distress.
