ईदृशं च तपः कृत्वा साध्यते फलमुत्तमम् । शुभं फलं स्वयं हित्वा साध्यते नाहितं पुनः

īdṛśaṃ ca tapaḥ kṛtvā sādhyate phalamuttamam | śubhaṃ phalaṃ svayaṃ hitvā sādhyate nāhitaṃ punaḥ

ഇത്തരത്തിലുള്ള തപസ്സു ചെയ്താൽ ഉത്തമഫലം സിദ്ധിക്കുന്നു. എന്നാൽ സ്വയം ശുഭഫലം ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നവൻ വീണ്ടും അഹിതമായതേ നേടും.
