सूत उवाच । शृण्वन्तु विप्रा वक्ष्यामि तन्माहात्म्यं जनिं तथा । संक्षेपतो यथाबुद्धि सद्गुरोश्च मया श्रुतम्

സൂതൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ വിപ്രന്മാരേ, കേൾക്കുവിൻ. ആ മഹിമയും അതിന്റെ ഉദ്ഭവവും സംക്ഷേപമായി, എന്റെ ബുദ്ധിയനുസരിച്ച്, സദ്ഗുരുവിൽ നിന്ന് ഞാൻ കേട്ടതുപോലെ ഞാൻ പറയും।
