Ṣaḍvidhārtha-Parijñāna: Praṇavārtha and the Sixfold Unity of Meaning (षड्विधार्थपरिज्ञानम् / प्रणवार्थपरिज्ञानम्)
tanmastakasthaṃ biṃduṃ ca tadūrddhvaṃ nādamālikhet | yaṃtre saṃpūrṇatāṃ yāti sarvakāmaḥ prasidhyati
Suta Goswami (narrating Śaiva yantra and mantra principles to the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: liberating
It teaches that a Śaiva yantra becomes spiritually “alive” when completed with bindu (the concentrated point of consciousness) and nāda (the subtle vibration), indicating the union of awareness and sacred sound that leads to siddhi under Shiva’s grace.
Bindu and nāda function like the inner essence of Linga-worship: the Linga is the stable support (saguna upāsanā), while bindu-nāda are the subtle principles through which the devotee internalizes Shiva as consciousness and vibration, making external worship mature into inner realization.
It suggests completing a Śaiva yantra by marking the crown bindu and placing nāda above it, then performing mantra-japa (commonly the Panchākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with steady concentration on the bindu as the focal point of meditation.
