Sukta 8.66
वयं घा ते अपूर्व्येन्द्र ब्रह्माणि वृत्रहन् । पुरूतमासः पुरुहूत वज्रिवो भृतिं न प्र भरामसि ॥
vayáṃ ghā te apū́rvyéndra bráhmāṇi vṛtrahan | purū́-tamāsaḥ puruhūta vajrivo bhṛtíṃ na prá bharāmasi ||
ഹേ ഇന്ദ്ര, വൃത്രഹൻ, ഞങ്ങൾ നിനക്കു അപൂർവ്യ—എപ്പോഴും പുതുമയുള്ള—ബ്രഹ്മാണി (സ്തുതി-മന്ത്രങ്ങൾ) അർപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ഹേ പുരൂതമ, പുരുഹൂത, വജ്രിവൻ, അവയെ ആധാരമായ ഭൃതിപോലെ മുന്നോട്ടുവെച്ചു സമർപ്പിക്കുന്നു—നിന്റെ ശക്തി ഞങ്ങളിലേയ്ക്ക് നിലകൊണ്ട് വർധിക്കേണ്ടതിന്.
