आ नो गोमन्तमश्विना सुवीरं सुरथं रयिम् । वोळ्हमश्वावतीरिषः ॥

Transliteration

ā́ no gómantam aśvinā suvíraṃ suráthaṃ rayím | vóḷham aśvā́vatīr íṣaḥ ||

Translation

ഹേ അശ്വിന്മാരേ, ഞങ്ങളിലേക്കു ഗോമന്തം—ഗോ/കിരണസമ്പന്നം, അശ്വസമ്പന്നം, സുവീരം—വീരശക്തിയാൽ നിറഞ്ഞത്, സുരഥം—സുഗമഗതിയുള്ള രഥസഹിതം ആയ റയി കൊണ്ടുവരിക; ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഇഷാ (പ്രേരണ)യുടെ അശ്വശക്തികൾ വഹിച്ചെത്തിക്കുന്ന ആ റയി ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് അർപ്പിക്കണമേ.
