प्र नूनं धावता पृथङ्नेह यो वो अवावरीत् । नि षीं वृत्रस्य मर्मणि वज्रमिन्द्रो अपीपतत् ॥

prá nūnáṃ dhāvata pṛtháṅ néha yó vo avā́varīt | ní sīṃ vṛtrásya mármaṇi vájram índro apī́patat ||

ഇപ്പോൾ മുന്നോട്ട് പാഞ്ഞുചെല്ലുവിൻ—ഓരോരുത്തനും താന്താന്റെ വഴിയിൽ; ഇതാ നിങ്ങളെ അടക്കി നിർത്താൻ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നവൻ. ഇന്ദ്രൻ വജ്രത്തെ വൃത്രന്റെ മർമ്മസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ, അവന്റെ ദുർബലമായ കുരുക്കിൽ, നേരെ പതിപ്പിച്ചു.
