आद्रोदसी वितरं वि ष्कभायत्संविव्यानश्चिद्भियसे मृगं कः । जिगर्तिमिन्द्रो अपजर्गुराणः प्रति श्वसन्तमव दानवं हन् ॥
ād rodasī vitaraṃ vi ṣkabhāyat samvivyānaś cid bhiyase mṛgaṃ kaḥ | jigartim indro apajargurāṇaḥ prati śvasantam ava dānavam han ||
അവൻ രണ്ടു ലോകങ്ങളെയും വിശാലമാക്കി ഉറപ്പോടെ താങ്ങിനിര്ത്തി; ഭയത്തിൽ പൊതിഞ്ഞിരുന്നതും വിറയുന്ന മൃഗംപോലെ ആയി. ഗർജ്ജിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഇന്ദ്രൻ, തന്റെ നേരെ ശ്വാസം ചൂടോടെ അടിച്ചുകയറിയ ദാനവനെ തകർത്തു—അന്ധകാരത്തിന്റെ ആക്രമണം അവൻ പിന്തള്ളിച്ചു.
