Sarga 93: Rāvaṇa’s Grief and Fury after Indrajit’s Fall; Move to Slay Vaidehī and Ministerial Restraint
निराशानिहतेपुत्रेदत्त्वाश्राद्धमचेतना ।अग्निमावेक्ष्यतेनूनमापोवापिप्रवेक्ष्यति ।।।।
nirāśā nihate putre dattvā śrāddham acetānā | agnim āvekṣyate nūnam āpo vā api pravekṣyati ||
പുത്രൻ വധിക്കപ്പെട്ടതോടെ നിരാശയായി, ദുഃഖത്തിൽ ബോധംകെട്ടവളായി, അവൾ ശ്രാദ്ധകർമ്മം അർപ്പിക്കും; പിന്നെ തീയിലേക്കു നോക്കും, അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ജലത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കും.
