तद्दृष्टवालक्ष्मणःसङ्ख्येघोरमस्त्रंसुदारुणम् ।।6.91.61।।अवार्यंसर्वभूतानांसर्वशस्त्रविदारणम् ।महेश्वरेणद्युतिमांस्तदस्त्रंप्रत्यवारयत् ।।6.91.62।।
tayoḥ samatulaṃ yuddhaṃ sambabhūva romaharṣaṇam |
gaganasthāni bhūtāni lakṣmaṇaṃ paryavārayan ||6.91.63||
ഇരുവരുടെയും ഇടയിൽ തുല്യബലമായ, കാണുന്നവർക്കു രോമാഞ്ചം പകരുന്ന യുദ്ധം ഉദിച്ചു; ആകാശസ്ഥരായ ഭूतഗണങ്ങൾ ലക്ഷ്മണൻ ആക്രമണം തടയുന്നതു നോക്കി നിന്നു.
