The Slaying of Indrajit
सौरेणास्त्रणतवदीरोलक्ष्मणःपर्यवारयत् ।अस्त्रंनिवारितंदृष्टवारावणिःक्रोथमूर्छितः ।।।।आददेनिशितंबाणमासुरंशत्रुदारुणम् ।
saureṇāstreṇa tad vīro lakṣmaṇaḥ paryavārayat |
astraṃ nivāritaṃ dṛṣṭvā rāvaṇiḥ krodhamūrcchitaḥ ||
ādade niśitaṃ bāṇam āsuraṃ śatrudāruṇam ||6.91.59||
അപ്പോൾ വീരനായ ലക്ഷ്മണൻ സൗര അസ്ത്രംകൊണ്ട് അതിനെ പ്രതിരോധിച്ചു. തന്റെ അസ്ത്രം തടയപ്പെട്ടതു കണ്ട രാവണി (ഇന്ദ്രജിത്) ക്രോധമൂർഛിതനായി, ശത്രുക്കൾക്ക് ഭീകരമായ മൂർച്ചയുള്ള ആസുര ബാണം എടുത്തു.
Then Lakshmana used a Sun missile and repelled (Indrajith's fire missile). Seeing his missile obstructed, Indrajith deluded with anger used a sharp Asura missile capable of destroying the enemy.
