कुम्भकर्णवधः

The Slaying of Kumbhakarna

प्रजापतेस्तुपौत्रस्त्वंतथैवरक्षरजस्सुतः ।श्रुतपौरुषसम्पन्नःकस्माद्गर्जसिवानर ।।।।

prajāpates tu pautras tvaṃ tathaiva ṛkṣarajas sutaḥ | śrutapauruṣasampannaḥ kasmād garjasi vānara ||

ഹേ വാനരാ, നീ പ്രജാപതിയുടെ പൗത്രനും ഋക്ഷരാജന്റെ പുത്രനും ആകുന്നു; ശ്രുതമായ പരാക്രമം നിറഞ്ഞവൻ—എങ്കിൽ എന്തിന് ഇങ്ങനെ ഗർജിക്കുന്നു?
