वायव्यमादायततोमहास्त्रंरामःप्रचिक्षेपनिशाचराय ।समुद्गरंतेनजघानबाहुं स कृत्तबाहुस्तुमुलंनाद ।।।।

Transliteration

vāyavyam ādāya tato mahāstraṃ rāmaḥ pracikṣepa niśācarāya | sa mudgaraṃ tena jaghāna bāhuṃ sa kṛttabāhus tumulaṃ nāda ||

Translation

അപ്പോൾ രാമൻ മഹാവായവ്യ അസ്ത്രം കൈക്കൊണ്ട് നിശാചരശത്രുവിന്മേൽ പ്രക്ഷേപിച്ചു; അതിനാൽ ഗദ വഹിച്ചിരുന്ന അവന്റെ ഭുജം വെട്ടിമാറ്റി, ഭുജം മുറിഞ്ഞ കുംഭകർണ്ണൻ ഭയങ്കരമായി ഗർജിച്ചു.
