महोदर-वाक्यं कुम्भकर्ण-प्रतिषेधः

ततोगत्वावयंयुद्धंदास्यामस्तस्ययत्नतः ।जेष्यामोयदितेशत्रून्नोपायैःकृत्यमस्तिनः ।।।।
tato gatvā vayaṃ yuddhaṃ dāsyāmas tasya yatnataḥ |
jeṣyāmo yadi te śatrūn nopāyaiḥ kṛtyam asti naḥ ||
അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞങ്ങൾ പുറപ്പെട്ട്, മഹാപ്രയത്നത്തോടെ അവനോട് യുദ്ധം നടത്തും. നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ ഞങ്ങൾ ജയിച്ചാൽ, മറ്റേതൊരു ഉപായ-നയവും ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ആവശ്യമില്ല.
