कुम्भकर्णोपदेशः

Kumbhakarna’s Counsel and War-Boast to Ravana

अथवात्यक्तशस्त्रस्यमृद्नतस्तरसारिपून् ।।6.63.45।।न मेप्रतिमुखेस्थातुंकश्चित् शक्तोजिजीविषुः ।

athavā tyaktaśastrasya mṛdnatas tarasā ripūn |

na me pratimukhe sthātuṃ kaścit śakto jijīviṣuḥ ||

അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ആയുധങ്ങൾ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടും, വെറും ബലത്താൽ തന്നെ ഞാൻ ശത്രുക്കളെ തകർത്തുകളയും; ജീവിക്കണമെന്നാഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന ഒരാളും എന്റെ മുന്നിൽ നില്ക്കാൻ ശേഷിയുള്ളവനല്ല.
