The Slaying of Dhumrākṣa
ध्वजैर्विमथितैर्भग्नैःखङ्गैश्चविनिपातितैः ।रथैर्विध्वंसितैश्चापिपतितैःरजनीचरैः ।।6.52.12।।
dhvajair vimathitair bhagnaiḥ khaṅgaiś ca vinipātitaiḥ |
rathair vidhvaṃsitaiś cāpi patitaiḥ rajanīcaraiḥ || 6.52.12 ||
ധ്വജങ്ങൾ തകർന്നു ചിതറുകയും, ഖഡ്ഗപ്രഹാരത്തിൽ അവർ നിലംപതിക്കുകയും, രഥങ്ങൾ നശിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു; വീണുകിടന്ന രജനീചരന്മാരാൽ യുദ്ധഭൂമി നാശാവശിഷ്ടങ്ങളാൽ നിറഞ്ഞു.
Indeed, the night rangers were killed, their flags were broken. They were crushed, their swords were destroyed with chariots fallen.
Adharma’s outward power—symbols, weapons, and war-machines—cannot endure when opposed by a steadfast righteous cause; collapse follows moral disorder.
