तमेवंवादिनंरामंसुग्रीवःप्रत्यभाषत ।।6.41.8।।तवभार्यापहर्तारंदृष्टवाराघव रावणम् ।मर्षयामिकथंवीरजानपौरुषमात्मनः ।।6.41.9।।

Transliteration

tam evaṁ vādinam rāmaṁ sugrīvaḥ pratyabhāṣata ||6.41.8||

tava bhāryāpahartāraṁ dṛṣṭvā rāghava rāvaṇam | marṣayāmi kathaṁ vīra jānan pauruṣam ātmanaḥ ||6.41.9||

Translation

രാമൻ ഇപ്രകാരം പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ സുഗ്രീവൻ മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു: 'ഹേ വീര രാഘവാ! അങ്ങയുടെ പത്നിയെ അപഹരിച്ച രാവണനെ കണ്ടിട്ടും, എൻ്റെ സ്വന്തം ശക്തി അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടും, ഞാനെങ്ങനെ അത് സഹിക്കും?'
