युद्धलक्षण-निमित्तदर्शनं तथा लङ्काद्वारव्यूहः

इदानींमाकृथावीर एवंविधमचिन्तितम् ।त्वयिकिञ्चित्समापन्नेकिंकार्यंसीतयामम ।।6.41.4।।भरतेनमहाबाहो लक्ष्मणेनयवीयसा ।शत्रुघ्नेनचशत्रुघ्नस्वशरीरेणवापुन:।। 6.41.5।।
idānīṃ mā kṛthā vīra evaṃvidham acintitam | tvayi kiñcit samāpanne kiṃ kāryaṃ sītayā mama ||6.41.4|| bharatena mahābāho lakṣmaṇena yavīyasā | śatrughnena ca śatrughna svaśarīreṇa vā punaḥ ||6.41.5||
വീരനേ, ഇപ്പോൾ ഇത്തരത്തിലുള്ള അചിന്ത്യമായ ധൃതികേടുള്ള പ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്യരുത്. നിനക്കു അല്പം പോലും അനർത്ഥം സംഭവിച്ചാൽ എനിക്കും—സീതയ്ക്കും—ജീവിതത്തിന് എന്തർത്ഥം? മഹാബാഹുവായ ഭരതനും ഇളയ ലക്ഷ്മണനും ശത്രുഘ്നനും—എന്റെ സ്വന്തം ശരീരത്തിനും പോലും—അപ്പോൾ എന്ത് പ്രയോജനം?
