Hanuman, Angada, Neela, Mainda, Dwivida, Gandhamadana, Panasa, Kumuda, Hara. Rambhu, Jambhavan, Sushena, intelligent Rshaba, highly energetic Durmukha and Satavali and similarly swift footed Vanaras, mountain rangers and those who can move at wind speed, all of them in hundreds ascended the Suvela mountain following Rama.
Dharma is supported by both wisdom (mahāmati) and power (mahātejā): the righteous enterprise requires intelligent counsel and courageous execution together.
A continuation of the catalog of vanara leaders assembled for the Laṅkā campaign, emphasizing the breadth and quality of Rāma’s supporters.
Complementary virtues—intellect (Ṛṣabha as mahāmati) and heroic energy (Durmukha as mahātejā).
