सरमायाḥ सीतासान्त्वनम् तथा रावणनिश्चयश्रवणम्

तदेषासुस्थिराबुद्धिर्मृत्युलोभादुपस्थिता ।भयान्नशक्तस्त्वांमोक्तुमनिरस्तस्संयुगे ।।।।रक्षसानांचसर्वेषामात्मनश्चवधेनहि ।
tad eṣā susthirā buddhir mṛtyulobhād upasthitā | bhayān na śaktas tvāṃ moktum anirastaḥ saṃyuge || rakṣasāṃ ca sarveṣām ātmanaś ca vadhena hi |
മരണലോഭത്തിൽ നിന്നുയർന്ന അവന്റെ ഈ അചഞ്ചലമായ തീരുമാനം ഇപ്പോൾ ഉറച്ചുനിൽക്കുന്നു. യുദ്ധത്തിൽ അജയ്യനായി നിലകൊള്ളുന്നിടത്തോളം ഭയത്താൽ അവൻ നിന്നെ വിട്ടയക്കാൻ കഴിയില്ല; കാരണം മരണത്തിലൂടെയാണ് എല്ലാ രാക്ഷസർക്കും അവനുമുള്ള നാശം സംഭവിക്കുന്നത്.
