शुकवाक्यं (Śuka’s Report on the Vānara Host) / Śuka Describes the Allied Forces to Rāvaṇa

स्थितान्पश्यसियानेतान्मत्तानिवमहाद्विपान् ।न्यग्रोधानिवगाङ्गेयान् सालान् हैमवतानिव ।।6.28.2।।एतेदुष्प्रसहाराजन्बलिनःकामरूपिणः ।दैत्यदानवसङ्काशायुद्धेदेवपराक्रमाः ।।6.28.3।।

sthitān paśyasi yān etān mattān iva mahādvipān |

nyagrodhān iva gāṅgeyān sālān haimavatān iva ||6.28.2||

ഹേ രാജാവേ, നീ കാണുന്ന ഈ സൈന്യം അചലമായി നില്ക്കുന്നു—മദോന്മത്ത മഹാഗജങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ, ഗംഗാതീരത്തിലെ ന്യഗ്രോധവൃക്ഷങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ, ഹിമാലയത്തിൽ വേരൂന്നിയ ശാലവൃക്ഷങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ—ദൃഢവും കുലുങ്ങാത്തതുമാണ്.
