एषचैषामधिपतिर्मध्येतिष्ठतिवीर्यवान् ।।।।जयार्थीनित्यमादित्यमुपतिष्ठतिबुद्धिमान् ।नाम्नापृथिव्यांविख्यातोराजन् शतबलीतियः ।।।।एषैवाशंसतेलङ्कांस्वेनानीकेनमर्दितुम् ।
eṣa caiṣām adhipatir madhye tiṣṭhati vīryavān |
jayārthī nityam ādityam upatiṣṭhati buddhimān ||6.27.43||
nāmnā pṛthivyāṃ vikhyāto rājan śatabalīti yaḥ |
eṣa evāśaṃsate laṅkāṃ svenānīkena marditum ||6.27.44||
ഇവനാണ് ഇവരുടെ വീര്യവാനായ അധിപതി; മദ്ധ്യേ നില്ക്കുന്നു. ജയലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെ ബുദ്ധിമാനായ ഈ വീരൻ നിത്യവും ആദിത്യദേവനെ ഉപാസിക്കുന്നു. രാജാവേ, ഭൂമിയിൽ ‘ശതബലി’ എന്ന നാമത്തിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധനായ ഇവൻ തന്നെ തന്റെ സൈന്യത്തോടുകൂടെ ലങ്കയെ മർദ്ദിക്കുമെന്ന് പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുന്നു.
