कोहिनामसपत्नोमांसमरेजेतुमर्हति ।इत्युक्त्वापरुषंवाक्यंरावणोराक्षसाधिपः ।।।।आरुरोहततश्रशीमान् प्रासादंहिमपाण्डुरम् ।बहुतालसमुत्सेधंरावणोऽथदिदृक्ष्या ।।।।
ko hi nāma sapatno māṃ samare jetum arhati |
ity uktvā paruṣaṃ vākyaṃ rāvaṇo rākṣasādhipaḥ ||6.26.04||
āruroha tataḥ śrīmān prāsādaṃ himapāṇḍuram |
bahutālasamutsedhaṃ rāvaṇo 'tha didṛkṣayā |
“യുദ്ധത്തിൽ എന്നെ ജയിക്കാൻ യോഗ്യനായ എന്റെ പ്രതിദ്വന്ദ്വി ആരുണ്ട്?” എന്ന് കഠിനവചനം ഉച്ചരിച്ച ശേഷം, രാക്ഷസാധിപനായ രാവണൻ ദർശിക്കുവാനുള്ള ആഗ്രഹത്തോടെ ഹിമംപോലെ വെളുത്ത, ഭംഗിയാർന്ന, അനേകം താലവൃക്ഷങ്ങളുടെ ഉയരമുള്ള പ്രാസാദത്തിലേക്ക് കയറിപ്പോയി.
