लङ्कानिरीक्षणं व्यूहविन्यासश्च
Survey of Lanka and Deployment of the Battle Formation
नैवसम्भाषितुंशक्यास्सम्प्रश्नोऽत्रनलभ्यते ।प्रकृत्याकोपनास्तीक्ष्णानानराराक्षसाधिप ।।।।
naiva sambhāṣituṃ śakyāḥ sampraśno 'tra na labhyate |
prakṛtyā kopanās tīkṣṇā vānarā rākṣasādhipa ||
ഹേ രാക്ഷസാധിപാ! അവിടെ സംഭാഷണം നടത്തുവാൻ സാധിച്ചില്ല; അവരെ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യുവാനും എനിക്കായില്ല. സ്വഭാവത്തിൽ വാനരർ ക്ഷിപ്രകോപികളും തീക്ഷ്ണരും ഉഗ്രരുമാണ്.
"O king of Rakshasas! It was not possible to negotiate there with the Vanaras). I had no opportunity to interrogate with them. By nature, Vanaras are violent and are highly furious."
