विभीषणोपदेशे रावणस्य परुषवाक्यम्
Ravana’s Harsh Reply to Vibhishana’s Counsel
तन्मर्षयतुयच्चोक्तंगुरुत्वाद्धितमिच्छता ।।।।अत्मानंसर्वथारक्षपुरींचेमांसराक्षसाम् ।स्वस्तितेऽस्तुगमिष्यामिसुखीभवमयाविना ।।।।
tan marṣayatu yac coktaṃ gurutvād dhitam icchatā |
ātmānaṃ sarvathā rakṣa purīṃ cemāṃ sa-rākṣasām |
svasti te 'stu gamiṣyāmi sukhī bhava mayā vinā ||
ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെങ്കിലും ക്ഷമിക്കണമേ; നിങ്ങൾ ഗുരുതുല്യനായതിനാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹിതം ആഗ്രഹിച്ചാണ് ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞത്. എല്ലാതരത്തിലും സ്വയം രക്ഷിക്കുവിൻ, രാക്ഷസന്മാരോടുകൂടിയ ഈ പുരിയെയും കാത്തുകൊള്ളുവിൻ. നിങ്ങൾക്ക് സ്വസ്തി ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ; ഞാൻ പോകുന്നു—എന്നില്ലാതെ സുഖിയായി ഇരിക്കുവിൻ.
