Lament of the Rākṣasa Women upon Seeing Rāvaṇa Slain
ताःपतिंसहसादृष्टवाशयानंरणपांसुषु ।निपेतुस्तस्यगात्रेषुछिन्नावनलताइव ।।।।
tāḥ patiṃ sahasā dṛṣṭvā śayānaṃ raṇapāṃsuṣu | nipetus tasya gātreṣu chinnā vanalatā iva ||
യുദ്ധധൂളിയിൽ ഭർത്താവിനെ ശയനിച്ചുകിടക്കുന്നതായി കണ്ട അവർ പെട്ടെന്ന് അവന്റെ അവയവങ്ങളിലേക്കു വീണു—വെട്ടിമാറ്റപ്പെട്ട തോട്ടവള്ളികൾ തകർന്നു വീഴുന്നതുപോലെ.
