राघव-रावणयोः घोर-द्वैरथ-युद्धम्

रामस्यतुरगान्दीप्तै: शरैर्विव्याथरावणः ।तेदिव्याहरयस्तत्रनास्खलन्नापिबभ्रमुः ।।6.109.15।।बभूवुःस्वस्थहृदयाःपद्मनालैरिवाहताः ।
rāmasya turagān dīptaiḥ śarair vivyātha rāvaṇaḥ |
te divyā harayas tatra nāskhalan nāpi babhramuḥ ||6.109.15||
babhūvuḥ svastha-hṛdayāḥ padma-nālair ivāhatāḥ |
രാവണൻ ജ്വലിക്കുന്ന അമ്പുകളാൽ രാമന്റെ കുതിരകളെ തുളച്ചു. എങ്കിലും അവിടെ ആ ദിവ്യാശ്വങ്ങൾ ഇടറുകയോ കറങ്ങുകയോ ചെയ്തില്ല; ഹൃദയം ശാന്തമായി, പദ്മനാളം കൊണ്ടു തട്ടിയതുപോലെ നിന്നു.
