Ravana and the Charioteer: Counsel, Omens, and Battlefield Conduct
श्रूयतांप्रतिदास्यामियन्निमित्तंमयारथः ।नदीवेगइवामंभोभिेसंयुगेविनिवर्तितः ।।।।
śrūyatāṃ pratिदāsyāmi yan-nimittaṃ mayā rathaḥ | nadī-vega ivāmbhobhiḥ saṃyuge vinivartitaḥ ||
“കേൾക്കുക—ഏതു കാരണത്താൽ ഞാൻ രഥത്തെ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ നിന്ന് തിരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുവന്നുവെന്ന് ഞാൻ മറുപടി പറയുന്നു; ജലധാരയാൽ നദിയുടെ പ്രചണ്ഡവേഗം സമുദ്രത്തോട്ടു തിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ.”
